Nevada Performing Arts (NPA) was founded February 29, 2000 as a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation in the state of Nevada. NPA serves Washoe County and Northern Nevada regions, as well as North Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas including Graeagle, Susanville and Truckee, California. NPA is currently in our 5 th Season.

NPA has built four major areas of operation in the past 4 1 / 2 years: the Department for Social Development and Outreach , which includes The Outreach Program for homeless youth, The Rape Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Program, The Educational Series/ Hip-Hop Performing Group and Community Partnerships; Performance Serie s , which includes three professional productions of "Christmas Carol", "The Haunted Showroom" and an original ballet based on C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" ; The Career-in-Arts Training Department , which includes the Youth Company, the annual Sierra Summer Intensive Workshop with world renowned guest instructors and Master Classes; Spanish/English Theatre Language Theater Department, specializing in Hispanic theater, art and culture.
